It was October 15, 1991 when Margaret Kathryn Whitney came into the world. She was the first and only daughter to the Whitney family as well as the second child. She was born a year after her brother Braedon, the person who she would come to consider one of her best friend no matter what. From a young age Margaret preferred to be called Maggie. While she knew that as she got older it could have a childish vibe to it, Margaret she felt made her sound like an old woman. Growing up Maggie was in her eyes a perfect little angel. A little princess to be exact. She loved to sit in her room and play with her barbie dolls and other toys, but it didn't mean she didn't enjoy playing outside as well!
While Braedon was the rebellious one, Maggie liked to believe she was the calmer child always trying to obey the rules. At least while she was little, because eventually her own rebellious streak decided to come out. It definitely was the more appealing choice as she got older, however, she tried her hardest to keep herself level-headed. In the end if she was ever asked, she would just simply state she was a girl that liked and knew how to have a good time and there was absolutely nothing wrong with that. She tried her hardest to prove this by doing her best to keep her grades up as well as participating in school clubs and sports as much as possible. She wanted to make her parents proud. Maggie from a young age cared about family, her parents, her brother Braedon, even if sometimes he confused her. Although the two were extremely close in age, Maggie liked to believe her and Braedon had a fairly strong sibling relationship. They might have not always seen eye to eye like most siblings, but there was no doubting the girls love for her older brother. Even though life had the ability to make things hard, and schedules caused everyone to be busy, the Whitney family were definitely a close knit. Not only did Maggie consider Braedon one of her best friends, her relationship with her mother was very strong and the two often spent time together bonding. However, it was in high school that Maggie's left began to change drastically. She met and fell head over heels with Kevin Fanelli, a boy a year older than her. They were young, but it was clear they both wanted to always spend time together. In was in the middle of their relationship that her mother had become ill and later died. She didn't want to believe it, she tried to force herself to believe that it was a sick evil joke that someone was playing. However, deep down she knew her mother was gone and it broke her heart into a million pieces. At the funeral she honestly felt like such a hollow person, everyone's apologizes not even breaking the surface. To make it worse, her own brother's presence missing from the service made it just that much harder. After everything was said and done, she tried her hardest to stay strong, to take on the role her mother once had to watch out for both her father and brother. She knew no matter what no one, including herself would be able to replace the influence her mother had on any of them. She only was able to let Kevin in, the one person she felt like truly understood her a majority of the time. Eventually a pregnant came into play, and Maggie was beside herself. She was 15 years old and had just lost her mother, and there she was pregnant with her boyfriends baby. Her father wasn't exactly happy, but he made sure that she knew that he was going to stand by her side. Maggie went on to have a little boy, who her and Kevin decided to put up for adoption. Their relationship soon became somewhat strained, but it wasn't like they could go back to normal. There was a lot of things that they would eventually need to work through. Since then, the couple has been on and off constantly, but Kevin is her true love in her eyes. Even if Maggie won't exactly admit that often. Upon graduating high school, Maggie decided to stay local and attended The University of Maine. She opted to also continue to live at home, mostly because she felt like she had to take care of her father since her mothers death. Although, she mainly seems to stay at Kevin's place whenever they are back on. It was a couple years after the birth of her son that Maggie began to keep contact with the adoptive parents, and even went as far as being able to visit her little boy a few times. The family seemed to welcome her, and said they want him to know where he had come from. The thing was, Maggie didn't know how to tell Kevin, and has been keeping it from him since. She knows that he still has a lot to work through concerning the baby. A topic that is very hard on both of them. |
